Unless you are doing a major construction or have still to plant your spring bulbs or bedding plants there’s not that much you can do in the garden this late in the year and consequently to keep our meeting relevant and interesting, over the years our December meeting has been a special event given over to flower arranging for amateurs.
This year we are pleased to welcome Margaret Thomson who will be leading us in a hands-on workshop to produce a Christmas Table arrangement – one, which from past experience, should still be going strongly well into the New Year - though if you use fresh flowers you will have to swap them out when they start to go over. Margaret, a florist, joined the Society earlier this year scooping a lot of prizes at our Spring Flower Show. So here is your opportunity to pick up hints and tips on making that eye-catching arrangement.
Bring an oasis block, scissors, greenery, Christmas decorations and some fresh or artificial flowers.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Mearns Horticultural Society December Workshop - Making a Christmas Arrangement are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
