About Water Works Tea Ceremony
This event will involve tea tasting, a guided walk, digging, clay crafts and lots of cake. This will be the last event of the year at Water Works.
Artists Alex Wilde and Hannah Brackston have been busy working with local school children and members of the community to make a unique and beautiful tea set for Water Works. Everyone is now warmly invited to join us for an afternoon sipping tea from the new tea cups.
Inspired by the history of the Water Works(once a sewage works), the local heritage of the famous Shanks factory and the wild plants which have taken up residence on the site. The artists have been looking at the different cycles of nutrients and exploring the links between ‘teas’ for plants, soils and people.
Free event! All ages welcome! Dress warm!
