Interactive walks are also planned with a number of local schools to discover ideas and opportunities for the boardwalk relating to art, environment and functionality.
Funded by Glasgow City Region City Deal and Sustrans Community Links, the planned new waterside boardwalk will join existing paths to create a continuous 3km walking and cycling circuit around Balgray reservoir. The enhancements will also improve walking and cycling connections between Barrhead, Newton Mearns and the country park.
