About Winning Business with Principle Contractors

East Renfrewshire has a number of major projects over the coming years from the City Deal Region, Local Development Plan plus more. How can the local supply chain maximise these opportunities and win business with the Principle Contractors managing the projects?

This event is for supply chain companies who want to learn first-hand from Contractors how they can improve their tenders.

Venue: UndercovER 56 Kelburn St, Barrhead, Glasgow G78 1LR

Capita is a leading provider of technology enabled business services. They offer digital and business process solutions to help clients increase productivity, enhance their use of technology and data, and improve customer and public services.

Patricia Murphy, Regional Buyer and Supply Chain Manager - “Relationship building & supply chain partnering ”
Patricia has worked in the industry for over 30 years. At BAM, she provides input into and supports the implementation of the regional supply chain strategy, promoting the supply chain function both internally and externally. Patricia seeks out and identifies suitable new supply chain partners across all trades, attending and facilitating events such as “Meet the Buyers” whenever required and actively promotes the advantages of membership of our supply chain to industry SMEs. Once engaged, Patricia then promotes the business of new supply chain partners internally to our project teams, monitors their performances on our contracts, liaises with their managers to review that and organises and oversees any required assistance or improvement training for them, in conjunction with our project Sub-contractor Relationship Managers.

Paul Kerr, BID Manager - “Bid Writing and Tender Winning”
18 years of delivering bids successfully in the public and private sectors in a competitive environment for a range of companies from architectural, civil engineering to building refurbishment and energy efficiency specialists. Procast currently have 2 contracts with East Renfrewshire Council and hold multiple frameworks with Public Sector organisations.

Clare Fraser, Director - “Equality in Procurement”
Demonstrating that your organisation complies with good practice in equality and diversity in the supply chain can make or break your bids. Clare Fraser will set out the expectations of public sector buyers and explain how you can enhance your proposals by mainstreaming equality. Clare is a freelance equality consultant, and has worked on the equality implications of Glasgow City Deal, the modernisation of the Glasgow Subway and the European Social Fund.
