We offer a menu of activities suitable for all stages of the cancer journey and all levels of physical ability.
Move More specific activities include:
• Gentle Movement
• Walking
• Circuits
• Gardening
All Move More activities are of a low to moderate intensity and are free for 12 weeks (apart from the walking which is ongoing). The Gentle Movement, walking and gardening are led by trained volunteers and the circuit class is led by highly qualified cancer trained exercise specialists.
We currently offer Gentle Movement at Clarkston Halls on a Tuesday and the foundry in Barrhead on a Thursday. We also have Macmillan friendly walks in Newton Mearns on a Monday and Eastwood on a Tuesday. We intend to offer the full MM programme in the future.
At Macmillan East Ren, we treat every person as an individual so if you feel that the Move More activities are not right for you, the Move More Coordinator will advise you on other suitable and safe forms of physical activity.
