Food Festival
The East Renfrewshire Food Festival runs every year in September to coincide with Scottish Food Fortnight. Organised by East Renfrewshire Council and last year sponsored by Whole Foods Market Giffnock, the festival is a two week long celebration of Scottish food and drink and aims to give a taste of all that's best in local produce.
The festival includes cookery demonstrations by well known chefs, farmers markets, cookery workshops and much more throughout the week. The festival is becoming more well know year on year with participation from eateries and food outlets throughout East Renfrewshire and surrounding areas.
The messages of the festival are to support local food businesses and to eat and cook healthy food. The overall aim is to encourage additional food related economic activity in the area.
