Evening Talk At Whitelee
About Evening Talk At Whitelee
The Whitelee rangers would like to invite you to an evening slideshow about the history of Whitelee. Hear about the hidden history of the windfarm as well as the surprising variety of wildlife found there, in the pleasant surroundings of the Whitelee visitor centre.
All events run by the Whitelee Countryside Ranger Service are free to participate in but may require booking using the telephone number listed (please leave a message if you call out of hours).
Access Advice
The rangers will also have the most up to date information available on the access restrictions and activity surrounding the construction of the extension at Whitelee. Please contact the rangers if you are planning a group visit to the site or have any questions and queries relating to access during the extension construction period (until late summer 2012).
• All children must be accompanied by an adult on all events (including specific kid’s activities).
• Whether coming along on an event, with a group, or enjoying Whitelee at your own pace, please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear. Prepare for changeable weather.
• For cycle events please bring your own mountain bike and helmet and ensure your bicycle is in good working order.
• Dogs are very welcome at Whitelee and on guided walks but some events may not be suitable for dogs. Please speak to the rangers regarding taking a dog along with you.
• The rangers may take photographs on events, which may be used in promotional material. If you would rather not be included in these pictures, please tell one of the rangers before the event begins.
• All event finish times and distances are approximate and subject to change.
