Winter Festival
East Renfrewshire Council organise Winter Festival in Eastwood Park every year in late November/ early December. It is a fun packed day for all the family. The event is free.
Over the years children's attractions have included a mobile ski slope, fair ground rides, seasonal arts and crafts and Santa's grotto organised by local environmental group Go Greener.
Adults enjoy the festivities while browsing the farmers' market and craft fair for inspiration on handmade gifts and festive decorations. The live music and seasonal aromas from the mulled wine and mince pies make for a festive atmosphere all round.
It is a fun filled family day that provides an opportunity for local businesses and community groups to promote themselves and trade in the craft fairs and farmers markets. It also brings new people to the area and retains local residents who boost the local economy through spending at the event and in local businesses.
