About Arthurlie Parish Church
Arthurlie Church has been part of Barrhead since 1793 with the current building situated on the town's main street.
Services are held at 9.30 and 11am on most Sundays of the year. An informal midweek service is held on Wednesdays at 10.45am.
Meeting at 10.45 on Sunday mornings, the Good News Club is for youngsters from age 3+, and aims to introduce the teachings of Jesus Christ to that age group.
The Boys’ Brigade:
Anchor Boys P1-P3 meet on Thursday evening from 6.30pm - 7.45pm
Junior Section P4-P6 meet on Thursday evening from 6.30pm - 7.45pm
Company Section P7-S6 meet on Thursday evening 7.15pm-9.30pm
Gen@X meets on Sunday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30. It is a youth group for S1 to S5 (ages 11-17). The aim is to have a lot of fun and laughter while learning about the Christian faith and issues affecting young people today.
Arthurlie Guild has upwards of 30 members and meets on Monday evenings at 7.30pm. The syllabus comprises bible study, talks from visiting speakers and various social events.While the Men’s Club has fewer members and does not have the same formality as the Guild, it is nevertheless a welcome meeting place for several of our male members and friends. It meets on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm in the church.There is also a Housegroup which meets on Thursday evenings.Details of the group can be obtained by e-mailing email@example.com.
