Caulders Newton Mearns follows in the same ethos of both Mugdock & Kirkintilloch and has its foundations as supplying great plants and garden products. Together with fabulous catering offering great food. The views from The Garden House Restaurant look spectacularly over Glasgow, onto the Campsies and beyond.

The gift shop at Caulders Newton Mearns is placed with great and unusual gift ideas and the garden centre is always stocked with a fantastic range of plants. As you wander through the plant sales area you will notice that the garden centre has been built around the historic Gowkstone. This stone is thought to date back to the iron ages, the name comes from the Scotts word Gowk which means cuckcoo. The Gowkstone was a meeting place for the covenants in the 1600’s and later was thought to be a special place with special powers – we still believe it is a special place!

A trip out to Caulders Newton Mearns certainly won’t disappoint.
