Come and Join Local Vocal Community Choir

Local Vocal Choir is looking forward to moving their rehearsals to St Ninians High School and meeting new members, every Wednesday during term time from 7-8pm. An open night is planned for Aug 29th, so that local singers can come along and have a go.

The Choir would like to welcome all local singers to join them and are offering membership to keen singers of all ages from aged 9-90. No experience is necessary and there is no audition, just a desire to sing and have fun. The repertoire is drawn from many styles including, gospel, blues, jazz, folk and world music and is sung acapella, offering a diverse and interesting range of music.

Local Vocal has been rehearsing for 4 years now under the direction of Lynne O'Neill, who is a very experienced Vocalist, Voice Teacher and Choir Leader, having taught Vocal Technique at Strathclyde University and led Masterclass for Choir of the Year. The Choir have enjoyed performing in small local events and larger events at Glasgow Royal Concert Halls and at Eastwood Theatre with the Young Scottish Folk Band of the Year and at the Armed Services Concert. Last year the Choir were very proud to be able to record their first CD and are looking forward to sharing their love of singing with the local community.

They are a friendly team and look forward to meeting you at the Open Night on Aug 29th or anytime thereafter.

Please contact Ann Blackwood on 07539 455505 for further information.
