Seashore Gallery is a popular, friendly art gallery, studio and gift shop by the sea. It is located in the small fishing village of Cockenzie & Port Seton, home of world renown artist John Bellany.
In 2012 Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth filmed Railwayman, outside Seashore Gallery and in the neighbouring area. Whilst a few miles away Stephen Fry and Douglas Henshall were filming Open Doors in Garvald, Cove and Edinburgh.
Why not visit East Lothian and the beautiful villages and art galleries we have and while you are here pop into Cockenzie & Port Seton's Seashore Gallery where you will find a wide selection of local artists and crafter's work from Ronnie Fulton's quirky ceramic fishing pieces to Richard MacKenzie's carved wooden toadstools. The gallery hosts a collection of Jolomo, Ritchie Collins and Sara Mead prints and original art work along with a variety of jewellery, cards and paintings. The gallery also has changing exhibitions of guest artist's work which keeps the gallery fresh and interesting.
The gallery is owned and ran by glass artist and painter Fiona Crombie. Fiona works in Stained & Fused glass and exhibits and sells her work through the gallery.
Throughout the year you will find a varied programme of workshops in the gallery.
Overlooking the firth of forth is an ideal location for being creative. The Gallery has a varied programme of exhibitions, weekly classes and workshops throughout the year. Whether you are visiting the gallery or taking part in a workshop you will be made to feel at home in this friendly, relaxing environment.. It is not unusual to see the odd seal following a fishing boat into the harbour or dolphins in the firth of forth no matter what you will find inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of this creative location.
