Local groups celebrate Netmums wins

Two local baby and toddler groups are celebrating after scooping Netmum awards!

Rhythm Time South Glasgow

Rhythm Time South Glasgow won the Gold award for the Glasgow Netmums site.

Hi, I'm Gillian and the owner of Rhythm Time Time South Glasgow.

I am a local mum of 2 young children (Freya 7 and Noah 2) and was first introduced to Rhythm Time when I took my daughter along to the classes in 2005 where aswell as having lots of Rhythm Time fun, we made lots of good friends and it soon became the highlight of our week!

My decision to change my career came after the birth of Noah, having always wanted to run my own business combined with my love of music and kids, Rhythm Time was the perfect choice!

The great thing about Rhythm Time classes is that it is so much more than just a sing song!! Every child is encouraged to use their voice, dance, play percussion instruments and have fun! A real benefit each week is seeing the child grow in confidence whilst having fun!

Each well planned course throughout each level Baby , Toddler and Preschool at Rhythm Time has been developed to stimulate the senses and we uses a combination of exciting instruments, puppets and sensory equipment to do this and the kids love it!

My classes run Tuesday to Saturday throughout Busby, Giffnock, Newton Mearns & Shawlands with the new term starting back on Wed 15th August.

Tranquil Tots Baby Massage

Local mum Nicola Wilson is celebrating after her class for pre-school children was voted favourite by members of Netmums.

Tranquil Tots, which sees mums bond with their babies by learning baby massage, won the top prize in the national awards from the UK’s biggest parenting site Netmums.com.

The group beat off competition from dozens of other classes in the area – and will be listed as the region’s best on the Netmums website. Over a million mums were able to vote for the awards, making them the UK’s biggest parenting prize.

Mum-of-two Nicola, from Netherlee, said 'I am delighted that Tranquil Tots has been voted favourite pre-school class by members of Netmums. The Netmums award means so much as it’s voted for by the parents. I wish to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to nominate and vote for my class. It means alot to me as I love my job. I have had the opportunity to meet so many lovely mums and their babies over the years. The class is about learning baby massage and bonding with your baby as well as mums sharing experiences that a new baby brings to your life. It is so nice when I see friendships forming and hearing that mums are still in touch after the class is finished. I keep in touch with the mums that were at my class that I took my own daughter along to. Not only do I have these close friends my daughter loves saying yes, he/she is my friend we met at Tranquil Tots when we were babies. That makes me smile.
