Superstar Chef Jacqueline O'Donnell is all set to referee this year’s feastRen celebrity cook off with ex- River City star’s Libby McArthur and Joyce Falconer at Rouken Glen Park on Saturday 21 evening session.
Top restaurateur’s Ryan James from Two Fat Ladies and Café Gandolfi’s, Seumas MacInnes will put both of the actresses through their culinary paces for a demo of top nosh that the audience will then vote on who the winner is.
feastRen Host, Jacqueline O'Donnell explains, "Festival organisers are building a beautiful bespoke food festival village in Rouken Glen Park this year, just down in front of the Pavilion for the feastRen Festival Weekend runs on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September."
There are three sessions over the festival weekend:
Session 1 Saturday 21 September 12 - 4pm which is focussed on Bake off competition
Session 2 Saturday 21 September 6 - 10pm which is focussed on Fish and Game and the Celebrity Cook off
Session 3 Sunday 22 September 12 - 4pm which is focussed on foraging, grow your own, and sustainable growing and cooking.
With bubbly, cocktails, whisky tasting and lots of delicious food, the weekend will be packed with multiple activities for kids of all ages and lots to explore.
The emphasis is on entertainment with live music, live demos and livestock, chef competitions, scrumptious cuisine, storytellers, street entertainment, street food from Scoop and Babu, a producers' market, arts and craft market, fine wine, Italian food, BBQ, beer and curries!
