The short weekly walk in and around Eastwood Park is led by a walk leader and volunteer.
The 20-30 minute long walks are suitable for beginners to take ‘first steps’ into walking, get out in the fresh air, enjoy light exercise outdoors and meet new people.
Sandra Middleton who has recently retired joined the group said: “I felt very welcomed into the group and it is a good entry level back into walking.”
The group meets outside Eastwood Park Theatre every Tuesday morning at 9.30am. And they are keen to welcome new people along.
The walking groups are supported by East Renfrewshire Community Health Care Partnership (CHCP).
If you are interested in coming along just turn up on the day or contact Sine Delahunt, walking co-ordinator at sine.delahunt@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk or 0141 577 8361.
