Hello! My name is Tina MacArthur and I am a Glasgow based Paediatric Occupational Therapist. I am trained to run Lego based therapy sessions for children with social communication difficulties such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. I run fun after school Lego based therapy clubs in Williamwood Parish Church on a Thursday afternoon from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
There is a maximum of three children in each group and we have great fun playing with Lego while developing social skills such as listening, sharing, taking turns, working towards a shared goal, problem solving and improving our fine motor skills.
After coming to the club children often feel more confident to join other clubs with their friends.
I also offer individual sessions to help children get ready to join a Lego based Therapy club.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Construction Club Lego Therapy are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
