In 1915, The Dardenelles- Edinburgh's Royal Scots Territorials were the first waves of the seaborne offensive that aimed to end WW1. From the first day of the landings, through the Gretna Rail Disaster and to the final evacuation, Edinburgh 'Terriers' were there from first day to last. This lecture explores their journey. David Clarke is a historian and specialist in the military conflicts of the late Victorian British Empire and the Great War. He is a teacher in Edinburgh.
