Welcome we are PACER - Parents and Carers of East Renfrewshire.
We are a friendly group of super-ordinary families. We all have a different super-abilities.
Some of us are out the box thinkers, some of us are hyper-empathetic, some of really like order and routine, some of us have physical challenges or mental or emotional or educational.
Some of us are walking an ASN road well travelled, others at the start or don’t know where to start.
Maybe you don’t feel like your an ASN family but you your not like all those ‘other families’!
Welcome! You're all welcome!
Our mission is to create a safe place for us all; where our uniqueness is embraced, where our uniqueness is a super-power;where we can share our hints, tips, our ‘I wished I’d known’ stories.
Where you can come and say ‘I don’t know if I can do today’ or ‘I don’t know where to start’ or ‘do I have to do this fight day after day and again and again’?
We will get it; and listen and just be there for you.
We know there is a wealth of information out there but it can be hard to find the information for you, it’s hugely scary when you don’t know where to start or you feel you’ve tried everything.
We are a family, a community and your all welcome, to share your successes- particularly the ones others don’t see as celebration worthy, to share your frustration and worries. To be part of our community.
We are all super heroes in someone eyes and you all have super powers in our eyes. Let us help you see and celebrate.
We meet approximately once a month during school term - we share information and can reach out and ask professionals in any field to share their knowledge with us as a group.
It’s your group-we are open and welcome to all who wish to shape and share in this community.
All info shared in the group is confidential and you can PM us to maintain discretion.
Our next meeting will be held on Zoom on Thursday 4th March. Please email caringeastren@gmail.com for login information.

We welcomed May from Family 1st in our Feb meeting for our first expert Q&A and it proved to be a life line for a few of our attendees. Later in the month, we are looking forward to welcoming our next guest speaker Speech and Language Therapist Caroline Viney on 15th March.
As always we welcome any and all who are on an ASN journey and as we look towards transition periods for nursery to primary and primary to secondary school; we would welcome anyone who has an interest or needs support at this time.
A warm welcome would await.
Gill and Laura
