Scotland Invented Football: The Footballers of Cathcart Cemetery

About Scotland Invented Football: The Footballers of Cathcart Cemetery

Scotland invented world football and Hampden is its home. And with Hampden Park just down the road from Cathcart Cemetery, it's no surprise that the Cemetery is the final resting place of many of the early pioneers of world football.

Join us and our friends of the Hampden Collection for 90 minutes of chat to find out how the Hampden Collection are discovering, preserving, and celebrating where world football began and explore the lives of these trailblazing footballers and managers buried in Cathcart Cemetery.

Buying a ticket will help us continue to explore and care for this beautiful space and help the Hampden Collection continue their fantastic work. Concessions are available.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Scotland Invented Football: The Footballers of Cathcart Cemetery are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
