DOCMA

About DOCMA

A 'DOCMA' is a 5-minute documentary film made by 5 filmmakers in 5 different documentary styles. It’s also a game - designed to get your creative juices flowing! Roles and tasks are determined by lottery, and filmmakers must adhere to a set of rules: The DOCMA Commandments.

Come along to SMHAF 2021's DOCMA Filmmaking Workshop on Zoom where rules will be explained and roles allocated. No prior filmmaking experience necessary, but you will need access to something to shoot and edit on (e.g. a smartphone and laptop).

You will then have two weeks to complete your own bit of documentary magic relating to this year's SMHAF themes: Nature and Normality.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for DOCMA are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
