What it’s all about?
This workshop cooresponds with the August Full Moon, a time when the sky is at its brightest and our energy levels are at their highest. It is recommended in some yogic traditions that we don't practice asana at this time, as we are more likely to cause an injury to ourselves. Come along to this workshop and learn how to use the Full Moon to set intentions for the month ahead and how to adjust your home yoga practice to embrace the lower energy.
What can I expect from this workshop?
Our time together will begin with a cup of tea and a short meditation before we get started on our yoga asana. We will spend some time setting intentions for the month ahead, manifesting how we would like to show up both on and off our mats. Our yoga asana practice will be a Yang to Yin flow style class, starting with some movement before slowing down and coming to a seated or reclining position.
We will end our time together with a guided Yoga Nidra practise. Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep and offers a deeply meditative experience for the whole body and mind. . If you are looking for a chance to slow down, reconnect with yourself and move seamlessly between the seasons– then this is the workshop for you.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring your own yoga mat and any props you may wish to use, including a blanket for relaxation. Blocks and yoga straps will be used during this class and will be available to borrow if you don’t have your own.
Is this suitable for beginners?
This workshop is suitable for those with some yoga experience. If you have attended a few yoga classes, you will be in a perfect position to take part and get the most out of this experience. Not sure if this is for you – then please get in touch!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
