Danceihayami's performances are an enthralling, uplifting, and an unforgettable spectacle. We bring the rich traditions of Indian Classical Dance to the Scottish stage, creating a unique cultural experience.
Explore our upcoming performance ‘Vasantham ‘and immerse yourself in the beauty of Indian dance.
Crossing the boundaries between traditional and contemporary Indian dance, this vibrant performance weaves Bharatanatyam's intricate footwork and expressive storytelling sometimes with the soul-stirring melodies of bagpipes and the lively pulse of traditional reels.
Choreographer Priya Shrikumar's artistry reflects her dual heritage creating a dialogue between cultures. The production also honours pieces from Martyn Bennett's groundbreaking music – a powerful blend of Scottish tradition and modern energy – symbolising unity through rhythm.
By merging ancient traditions with contemporary innovation, it’s an experience of the universal language of movement and music.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
