Eastwood Park Theatre and Spillers Pantomimes are searching for a brand-new star who wants to break into professional theatre for the paid role of Wendy, as well as talented children to play the parts of Michael and John.
Shortlisted stars will be invited to come along to the final auditions, which will take place at Eastwood Park on Saturday 9 October 2021. The successful stars will then take to the stage alongside the professional panto cast at Eastwood Park Theatre in Giffnock this festive season, which runs from 26 November to 30 December.
The panto producers said: “This is a great chance to work on stage in a professional environment and be part of a major production.
“We are looking for a talented local, aged 18 or over, to take on the part of Wendy. We are searching for an excellent actress, fabulous singer and someone that's keen to break into professional theatre.
“There is also a unique opportunity for children to audition to be part of this production. Four children will be selected to play the roles of Michael and John.
“Opportunities like this don’t come along very often and could be your lucky break!”
Aspiring actresses should send a short clear visual video of yourself with your name to show your personality and acting ability, with a brief explanation on why you should be chosen for the final audition and outline why you would make a good Wendy, plus a one minute song of your choice and one minute acting piece.
Those hoping to audition for the role of Michael and John should send in a short, clear visual 15 second video showing their vibrant personality and clear diction. You should start by stating your name, age and height then say briefly why you should be chosen to get through to the final audition.
Further details on what the panto producers are looking for are included below:
Wendy - a ‘young looking’ girl, aged 18 or over, who is an excellent actress, a fabulous singer and is keen to break through into professional theatre. The role is a paid position in a professional pantomime at Eastwood Park Theatre. You must be fully available from 13 Nov - 30 December.
Details of 2 boys required:
Max height 5’ 3” - Great actors with personality and discipline plus basic dance ability.
