'The Story of Rouken Glen Park' has been put together after months of searching archives and collecting artefacts.
It covers the people, geology and ecology of the park and includes archive film, old photographs, a collection of rocks and fossils, models of the park and plant and bird specimens.
The display contains many items not seen before and includes information made public for the first time.
The archive photos include images from when Rouken Glen was occupied by the armed forces during the Second World War.
The Story of Rouken Glen Park will be completed when the historic Capelrig Cross, an early medieval artefact, transfers from the Glasgow Museums collection to the Pavilion.
Convener for environment, Councillor Vincent Waters, said: "This is a fantastic addition to our Pavilion visitor centre.
"It brings the history of this wonderful park to life and is packed with fascinating features.
"I would encourage people to go along, enjoy and explore the rich story of Rouken Glen.
"This exhibition is just the latest in a series of improvements to the park as part of the £3 million programme funded by the council and the Heritage Lottery Fund, including the transformation of the Pavilion itself and the amazing new children’s play park.
"It really is the jewel in our crown and we’re committed to making sure it stays the glorious green space it is."
The collection of rocks and fossils comes courtesy of local geologist Dr John Faithfull.
