Nonna Gina’s, a cool and contemporary new Italian style restaurant and bar at the Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns, opens its doors to the public this Thursday evening (26th March) from 6.30pm with a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival.
A stylish and contemporary new venue in Newton Mearns offering a range of Nonna Gina’s famous Italian recipes and state-of-the-art cocktails, wines and much more, Nonna Gina’s Italian Restaurant and Bar is the new face and name of popular Avenue restaurant Il Pavone Sud.
But whilst the new restaurant remains under the same Italian family ownership as Il Pavone Sud, Nonna Gina’s offers customers much more than just fresh décor and a new name – a new menu features a delicious range of traditional Italian recipes and even includes a unique pizza burger prepared in a calzone-style with a variety of toppings available.
Gianni Di Meo, manager, said: “Named after my grandmother, Nonna Gina’s Italian Restaurant and Bar has been conceived to offer customers a warm Italian welcome in a family-orientated environment that will appeal to the young and the young at heart alike.
“In addition to the range of classic Italian dishes that customers would expect, Nonna Gina’s also offers children’s and gluten free menus, as well as a wide selection of starters and desserts.”
Michelle McCabe, Centre Manager at The Avenue, said: “Il Pavone Sud has always been a firm-favourite with local diners and I know that many of its regular customers are looking forward to sampling some of Nonna Gina’s many delights!
“We wish Gianni and the management team all the best for what I know will continue to be a very successful venture.”
