East Renfrewshire Council is currently recruiting members to join the Citizens' Panel and share their opinions on matters affecting people in East Renfrewshire.

The Council want to ensure the Panel is representative of East Renfrewshire’s diverse population and seek new members from a range of backgrounds.
The Citizens' Panel is a group of around 1,200 local people aged 16 and over who represent local people based on census data on where they live, age, gender, ethnicity and tenure.
Citizens' Panel members receive one or two surveys a year asking for views on local services and other important issues such as health, community safety, roads and transport and customer service. Members also have the opportunity to take part in events or feedback sessions with other panel members.
The Citizens' Panel is just one of the ways that the Council listens to the views of local residents to help make decisions on how best to improve services and to inform key policies.
Councillor Tony Buchanan, Leader of East Renfrewshire Council said: “The Citizens’ Panel is extremely valuable, as it gives us an opportunity to consult with local people and gain an insight into what really matters to East Renfrewshire residents. Feedback provided by Panel members is used by the Council to develop local services and policies, to take action to make changes and target issues raised. The time commitment required to join is minimal so I would encourage anyone who is keen to make a difference to their local community to apply to become a Panel member.”
