Artie will take to the Giffnock theatre stage for a trip down memory lane on 13 March with Artie’s Singing Kettle Show, followed by Artie’s Singing Kettle Story Songs on 20 March, featuring renowned Scottish songs and stories.
And if you missed a birthday shout out back in the day, you might be in luck as the Singing Kettle founder will include special mentions in both shows.
Artie said: “It’s exciting to get back on the stage at Eastwood Park Theatre to put on a live Singing Kettle show for everyone to enjoy from home.
“Many of those who came along to our shows are parents themselves now so they can recapture their youth, joining in the fun dancing along with their kids in the front room.
“‘The Eelly Alley O’, ‘Buy Me a Banana’, ‘Little Bunny Fou Fou’ and “Shove Yer Granny aff a Bus’ are just some of the favourites that I’ll get round to during the two shows.”
Eastwood Park Theatre, part of East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, was awarded a grant from the Scottish Government through Creative Scotland. The funding is being used to bring shows back to the stage to be enjoyed virtually, while supporting local artists and organisations.
The theatre has already announced a live stream of The Wedding Planners romantic comedy on 5 March, offering a perfect Friday night in. More virtual shows are set to be announced by the theatre in the coming weeks.
Anthony McReavy from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure said: “We’re pleased to be able to continue to entertain audiences at home during the pandemic, thanks to additional funding from Creative Scotland. We’re looking forward to welcoming some of our theatre favourites back to the stage while supporting local artists and keeping the local community entertained.
“Eastwood Park Theatre is a vibrant arts and culture venue at the heart of our community and we look forward to welcoming everyone back when we can reopen safely.”

Artie’s Singing Kettle Show will take place on 13 March, followed by Artie’s Singing Kettle Story Songs on 20 March.
Tickets are £5 per household for each show, both starting at 4pm.
