Eastwood Park Theatre has announced a line up featuring well-known names, comedy acts, music productions, theatre performances, kids’ shows and cinema screenings, to keep audiences entertained throughout the autumn and winter months.

Barbara Dickson will celebrate a glittering 50-year career in music and theatre while in conversation with journalist Graham Spiers on 6 September. An Evening with Gordon Strachan will be filled with stories about managers and players from a spectacular football career, which comes to the theatre on 12 September. Journalist and radio presenter Tam Cowan will also take to the stage with stories and opinions on Scottish life and football on 21 September.

Queen of the West End, Kerry Ellis, will sing songs from the biggest musicals and tell stories about how she came to star in musical theatre’s biggest roles on 14 October, while Scottish politician Mhairi Black will feature in conversation with Graham Spiers on 18 October, offering her take on the highs and lows of political life. Rangers legends Mark Hateley, John Brown and Ian Durrant will join host Graham Roberts for an unforgettable night of stories, laughter and football nostalgia on 29 October.

All-star cast Keith Jack, Matt Papinskas, Graham Tudor and Rob McVeigh will bring incredible live musical entertainment to the theatre with Dreamcoat Stars in October.

Music from Eagles tribute act Desperados, the Eras Experience from Taylor Swift tribute act and Ready Steady 60s are also set to take to the stage in October. The Roy Orbison Songbook is lined up for October, while Oh What a Night, a musical journey through the career of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, will kick off November’s line up.

Forthcoming comedy acts include NYC-based scientist turned comedian Ben Miller, as well as Gary Delaney, known for TV appearances including Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo, who will headline a comedy night in September. Following his debut sold-out UK tour, star of social media Stuart Mitchell will present his show Stuart Mitchell and Friends in November.

Kevin Quantum, who has over a decade of Edinburgh Fringe sell-out shows, performances around Europe and tours of Australia, will embark on his second UK tour and bring Unbelievable Magic for Non Believers to Eastwood Park Theatre.

Young theatre fans have a lot to look forward to, with shows lined up including The McDougalls’ Pirate Adventure, Hercules the Bear, A Home for Hamish and You Choose. Laaaunch, a non-verbal performance filled with musical beats and comedy aimed at babies up to 12 months, takes place in September.

Cinema screenings include the Sound of Music, celebrating its sixtieth anniversary, Next to Normal, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies and Bat Out of Hell: The Musical. National Theatre Live cinema screenings including Inter Alia, Fifth Step and Mrs Warren’s Profession. Royal Ballet and Opera’s Tosca and The Nutcracker are also set for the big screen. A Wonderful Life cinema screening will be shown during the festive season.

The festive fun runs from 21 November – 31 December as Spillers Pantomimes present the magical tale of Cinderella, featuring a talented cast, spectacular scenery, dazzling costumes and amazing special effects.

Anthony McReavy from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, said: “We have a fantastic programme ready to take centre stage over the coming months, featuring well-known names, Barbara Dickson, Tam Cowan and Gordon Strachan, top-class comedians, kids' shows, from You Choose to The McDougalls, as well as theatre productions, live music and a series of cinema screenings from National Theatre Live, The Royal Ballet and Opera and more.

“We'll round the year off with our fun-filled, festive family pantomime, Cinderella. We can't wait to welcome our audiences along, so book tickets now!”
