East Renfrewshire U3A
East Renfrewshire U3A was launched in 2008 and now has around 400 members. Membership is open to people living in East Renfrewshire and the surrounding areas.
About East Renfrewshire U3A
It is intended for people who 50+ and are either retired or semi-retired and who wish to share in educational, recreational and/or creative activities and companionship.
We are a self funded and self managed organisation and members form subject groups through which they learn and share knowledge in friendly and informal surroundings. Annual Membership is currently £15 per year.
We currently have 44 groups offering a wide range of interests. The groups are:
Amblers, Around the World Dining 1 & 2, Computer Help, Craft Club, Creative Writing, Enjoy the Arts, Film Appreciation, French – level 1 & 2, Garden Visits, Geology, Genealogy, Hands on Gardening, History, Informal Bridge, Italian, Jazz and Blues Appreciation, Jewellery Making, Knitting & Crochet, Lunch Bunch, Mahjong, Music Talk, Out and About, Play Reading, Quiz, Reading Groups – 4 groups, Russian, Saturdays, Science & Technology, Soap Box (Discussion group), Snooker, Spoken Word, Spanish Beginners 1 & 2, Spanish Improvers, Table Tennis, Swimming, Taste the World, Theatre and Walking 1 & 2.
