Solar Bear bring The Third Sister to Clarkston
East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure will host two PWYC performances of The Third Sister at Clarkston Hall on Monday 6th March.

The 'pay what you can' event is brought by theatre company Solar Bear, who work with deaf and hearing actors, theatre makers, artists and young people. The play, which is currently touring Scotland, will be performed in English and British Sign Language.
Written by Xana Marwick and directed by Jonathan Lloyd and Ciaran Stewart, The Third Sister is a story of Eilidh, Rowan… and Jennifer. The teenage sisters are members of a touring family band The Fabulous Funstons in the early 1980s. Brought up, and trained for the stage, by their overprotective grandfather, the sisters secretly form their own punk band, Pink Mess. But tensions boil over and both bands are ended when Rowan tragically dies. Over 30 years later, the past comes back to haunt Eilidh. In the style of TV’s ‘Inside Number 9’, it’s a tale with a twist – creepy, mysterious and funny.
Before & after the performance, attendees are warmly invited to chat, mingle and help themselves to tea, coffee and biscuits. A film screening by Solar Bear of their latest work with Solar Flares: A Deaf Heritage Project, will be shown at 2pm on the day. More information can be found at sfdh.org.uk
