This exhibition presents the work of three artists who apply unusual approaches and media to the subject of wildlife: collages by Paul Bartlett, recycled sculptures by
Barbara Franc and stencil paintings by Jo Ruth. The results are imaginative depictions of animals and their habitats that, for all the fun they deliver, are also keenly observed.
Paul Bartlett is a self-taught artist with a PhD in animal behaviour. He creates collages that aim to capture the drama of his encounters in the wild.
Barbara Franc produces recycled sculptures inspired by the sculptural forms of animals. She loves creating something new from materials with a rich in history, such as old biscuits tins or found objects.
Jo Ruth makes stencils from her drawings of wildlife that she then assembles into unique compositions using painting and printmaking techniques.
