Appetising offers for Electric Glen festival goers

The Electric Glen team has put together an appetising range of dining out offers for anyone with a ticket to the 2016 lighting festival!

Throughout January and February, 16 East Ren eateries are giving special offers to all Electric Glen ticket holders. Offers range from kids eating free through to a 10 to 20 per cent discount off your food bill.

Diners can use their Electric Glen ticket to take advantage of these offers as many times as they like, it doesn’t need to be used on the night you are going to the lighting festival.

Tickets to Electric Glen, the must-see event of winter 2016 are on sale now.

The lighting festival will transform Rouken Glen Park in Giffnock, East Renfrewshire into an electric wonderland for eight nights in February.

The winter 2016 event brings a new team of creatives to East Ren to work their magic and transport visitors to a luminous world within the boundaries of the park from 4 to 7 February and 10 to 14 February.

The creative director behind the new event is world renowned Phil Supple who designed the lighting for the ceramic poppy installation at The Tower of London and for the Speed of Light and Ghost Peloton performance art.

Phil is teaming up with the production company headed by Derek Allan of Allan Associates and Phil O’Halloran from NL Productions whose credits include staging the award winning The Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry.

Together the trio will turn Rouken Glen Park in Giffnock into a magical night time adventure with a specially designed electric trail and will showcase the diverse natural beauty of the park at night. The enhanced show will improve the visitor experience for people with a disability or pushing wheels.

Visitors to the event can take advantage of some fantastic dine-around offers in local East Renfrewshire restaurants or enjoy a hot snack and drinks at the pop-up catering village in the park.
