Thrill-seekers are invited to feel the fear at Anarchy, a brand-new outdoor horror maze experience where some truly gruesome and ghoulish characters and creatures are lurking to taunt all who dare to enter.
Anarchy will run every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 25th September through to Halloween season until Saturday 31st October.
This unique horror experience has been specifically designed in line with Scottish Government guidelines to allow for social distancing to ensure the safety of guests and staff at all times. There will be hand sanitation points at the maze entrance and exit, as well as social distancing in place throughout the park during the duration of Darktober.
Masks must be worn by all guests during the event and all groups must enter as a maximum social bubble of six people across two households.
Also returning is the bone-chilling Darktober, which will allow polter-guests and scream queens the chance to take a ride on some of the Theme Park’s most popular rides in the dark between 6pm and 10pm as part of the Anarchy experience.
The spooky season also sees the return of the family favourite Pumpkin Festival, an outdoors event within the grounds of M&D’s Theme Park which features story-telling, enjoyable games and the brand new pumpkin treasure trail, not forgetting the Pumpkin Express.
All activities at the Pumpkin Festival will take place form Saturday 10th to Sunday 18th October and then again on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October and Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November.
Matthew Taylor (junior), of M&D’s Theme Park, said: “This year we’ve had to adapt all events to ensure that they are in line with Scottish Government guidelines, so the haunting and bone-chilling Anarchy will be a very different experience to our previous horror events.
“As we will have physical distancing measures in place, all tickets for Anarchy must be booked online in advance to ensure that we can limit the number of people attending any one session. Masks also must be brought and worn during the experience. However, we have worked hard to prioritise the safety of our visitors and staff as well as maintaining all of the fun of the fear with one of our scariest experiences yet.
“Across Darktober, we’ve plenty of thrills and shrills in store for all of the family allowing every one of every age to get involved in the Halloween season in a fun and safe way.”
Tickets for Anarchy are available at www.scotlandsthemepark.com at £12 per person with a mask included or £20 for access to Anarchy and four ride tickets included.
Tickets for the Pumpkin Festival are priced per person at £8.50 which includes a hot drink and £10.50 which includes a pumpkin. Tickets must be booked online before arrival to ensure ample space for physical distancing for storytelling sessions and to ensure that everyone has enough time to enjoy each activity.
