In place of his usual Christmas card competition with Primary School children entering their designs, Jackson is calling on any and all Eastwood residents to submit a photo of their festive lights or garden displays ahead of the deadline this Saturday 19th December.
Residents should visit Jackson Carlaw’s Facebook page, like and share the post and comment their photo below.
The grand prize is a £100 voucher for a local hospitality venue of the winners choice.
Two runner up prizes of £50 will also be up for grabs, one picked by Jackson, and the other for the picture with the most likes. These prizes will be in the form of a voucher for a local hospitality or retail outlet.
Jackson Carlaw MSP for Eastwood said: “Seeing the great efforts people have already gone to decorating their houses has prompted me to find the very best.
"In a year with so much uncertainty, it is lovely to see the community making such an effort to boost festive spirit.
"I am delighted that the prizes will be spent locally, supporting hard pressed hospitality businesses and retailers.
"Make sure you comment your photograph and have a very Merry Christmas.”
