New fitness classes launch at Barrhead Foundry

Barrhead Foundry has launched brand new fitness classes, aimed at early birds and local parents!

New Monday morning HIIT classes and Thursday morning Circuits classes have been scheduled for 6.15am, with a further Circuits class added to the timetable on Wednesdays at 9.30am.

New buggy-friendly body pump classes now take place every Thursday at 12.30pm, offering a great workout with the opportunity to bring babies along.

Fitness instructor Jenna said: “We're pleased to add these new classes to our extensive timetable. The early morning classes are perfect for those who like an energetic start to their day or want to fit their workout in before work. The first sessions have filled up fast on the gym floor and the feedback has been fantastic.”

Fit for Two Instructor Kirsteen Mackenzie added: “Finding the time to exercise when you've got a little one can be difficult. Our Fit for Two classes aim to make it easier for parents to work out without having to arrange childcare, as their baby can stay in a car seat or buggy while they concentrate on a regular Body Pump class.

“We give lots of options during the class for different levels and are mindful of mums who are returning to exercise after having their little ones.

“As well as being great exercise, these classes are also a great way to meet other parents and babies, plus Barrhead Foundry has baby changing facilities, parent parking and a cafe on site.”

Diane (pictured in pink top) has been attending with seven-month-old Nathan since the classes launched in January. Diane said she loves attending classes, the support of the instructor and seeing familiar faces coming along. Local mum Samantha (pictured in grey top) has come along to the last two sessions and is returning to exercise for the first time since having baby Milo four months ago.
