As part of Glasgow’s 850th anniversary celebrations, the BBC Introducing Stage will spotlight the city’s thriving music scene, featuring local rising stars, reinforcing Glasgow’s status as a UNESCO City of Music.
Friday: Glasgow-based rapper BEMZ will take the headline slot on Friday, following his sold-out Barrowland Ballroom show earlier this year. UK hip-hop duo Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn, known for viral hits Put It On Me and Dream Factory, will also take to the stage.
The lineup will also include fresh talent across indie, rock, and electronic genres, with performances from Cliffords, Redolent, Indoor Foxes, and Fourth Daughter. Rising R&B and soul star Becky Sikasa, winner of BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year, will open the stage with her internationally acclaimed sound.
Saturday: One of Glasgow’s most talked-about bands, VLURE, will headline on Saturday, fresh off their sell-out show at Queen Margaret Union. Fans can also look forward to a standout performance from indie-pop singer-songwriter Chloe Slater, alongside high-energy indie-rock from Guest List and Welly.
Adding to the excitement, The Rooks - fresh from headline sets at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut - will take to the stage, alongside Fright Years and Alex Spencer, ensuring an unforgettable Saturday lineup.
Sunday: The BBC Introducing Stage will close on a high note with Matilda Mann, whose indie-folk charm has earned her critical acclaim. Aaron Rowe will bring his signature soulful blend of R&B and indie, while Irish singer-songwriter Nell Mescal delivers her emotive indie-pop anthems.
Glasgow’s KuleeAngee will add an eclectic mix of guitar-driven melodies fused with acid house, while Ben Ellis and Dictator will light up the stage with their infectious energy and rock-electronic fusion.
Festival Director Geoff Ellis commented: “TRNSMT’s bumper lineup just got even bigger with 20 incredible up-and-coming artists added to the bill. We take great pride in providing a platform for the next generation of talent, and it’s always rewarding to see artists start on this stage before going on to great things throughout their career.
“Many of these acts have a strong connection to Glasgow, whether they were born and raised here or have played the city’s iconic venues on their journey to success. It’s an honour to celebrate their talent as part of Glasgow’s 850th anniversary and welcome them to Scotland’s biggest music festival.”
TRNSMT is offering a range of ticket packages, including VIP experiences and fans can find out more about these at www.trnsmtfest.com.
Day tickets start from £89.50 (plus GCC Environmental Levy) and weekend tickets start from £254.90 (plus GCC Environmental Levy). Fans can buy now and pay later at the checkout via Ticketmaster to spread the cost of their ticket.
