Walk-ER provides walks within Barrhead, Eastwood Park, Cowan Park, Clarkston, Newton Mearns, Crookfur, Rouken Glen Park and Giffnock.

East Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is responsible for all Health and Social Care Services within the East Renfrewshire local authority boundary. The HSCP Health Improvement Team’s key aims are to improve health and reduce health inequalities. We deliver a range of services and training as well as contribute to local planning.

Physical activity is a key priority and we have developed our walking programme, Walk-ER, through engagement with local groups and individuals. Our Project has a very committed team of volunteers who offer local walks within their neighbourhood or park.

We offer a range of low-level to moderate/fast paced walks depending on the needs of the individual walker. Our walks are free and last from 20 minutes up to an hour. A hot drink and a chat afterwards is always encouraged.
