My Mearns are delighted to announce the first Merry Mearns, taking place on Sunday 28th November at The Avenue Shopping Centre & Fairweather Park!

Merry Mearns on Sunday 28 November, is the Christmas extravaganza set to take over Newton Mearns. The inaugural event will make the festive season one to remember for all visiting the town and includes the chance to see the skies above Fairweather Park lit up with a fantastic festive firework finale.

The event will also feature a Christmas market on the event space at the Ayr Road entrance to The Avenue Shopping Centre, with live entertainment and funfair rides. There will also be a chance to visit Santa and, if you’re on the nice list, you might even receive a gift!

Joanne Casey, Director at Mactaggart & Mickel, said: “We are thrilled to be able to support such an exciting initiative. This is the first large scale Christmas event in Newton Mearns and is a wonderful opportunity for local businesses, organisations and residents to come together to enjoy some festive cheer.

“Mactaggart & Mickel have a proud history of supporting people in the communities where we are building new homes, reflecting our family ethos. We’ve had a presence in Newton Mearns for many years and care deeply about playing our part in making a positive difference, which we are sure Merry Mearns will do.”
