The next area is social area where small groups can meet to share skills. A number of people have expressed a desire to find out about subjects from a book binding, sewing knitting and various other subjects. What would you like to learn or could you share a skill.?
Our workshop area is where items can be repaired. Would you like to help / watch as the items was repaired
We take in laptops wipe securely the hard drive, remove it replace it with a solid state drive and fit Linux free software. Have you got a laptop to donate?
We collect litter every week. It’s great activity and is enjoyed by our 25 plus pickers who attend every Saturday.
We collect donations of household items for those less fortunate and circulate them via other charities to asylum seekers and refugees. We need sorters and people to help bring the donations in.
Do you care about our society? We are a member of Circular Communities Scotland and Keep Scotland Beautiful and proudly do our best to try and share skills and keep items from landfill.
Come and visit us at 11am Saturday 15/06/2024 and find out more about what’s going on at The Black Door Shop.
