Join us on Thursday 23 January at Carswell Centre, Montgomery Street, Eaglesham, G76 OAS, between 4.30pm and 6.30pm to learn more.
Attendees can meet staff, volunteers, a guide dog owner and a puppy, and find out what’s really involved with raising a future life-changing guide dog.
Volunteer puppy raisers provide a puppy with the vital foundation for its future role. You'll be looking after a puppy for 12-16 months and will guide him or her through training, socialisation, the introduction of new environments and experiences whilst providing a loving home.
Erin McArthur, Puppy Development Advisor for Guide Dogs, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming new volunteer puppy raisers to our guide dog family. This is an opportunity to find out more about what’s involved with raising a guide dog puppy.
“Please come along and meet our fantastic local team of staff and volunteers and guide dog owners to find out first-hand how you can change people’s lives.”
If you plan to attend, please let us know by emailing Erin.McArthur@guidedogs.org.uk.
Please note, pet dogs are not permitted at this event.
