Hidden in a little visited area of the Country Park the ranges date back to the Boer War and through research and metal detecting the Countryside ranger can provide a fascinating insight to the area.
We'll explore what remains of the the ranges 'backstops' or 'butts' where the targets were located, hear about their history and have a good look around.
Please note there are no surfaced paths on this walk and some sections are very wet/muddy while others involve a scramble!
