Greenbank Garden reopens to the public on April 1st! Experience the magic of spring with all the family with our woodland trails.
Come along to the Courtyard Café from the 1st of April and pick up your free trail, designed by the Woodland Trust. Children will enjoy this fun way of looking for the signs of spring. Once you’ve finished, head back to the café to claim your sticker.
Our woodland trail runs around the perimeter of the walled garden and takes about 25 minutes - longer if you are with a curious toddler and shorter if you are keeping up with your dog.
Along the way, there are also plenty of opportunities for play, carved wooden art works, and a little stream and bridge. You might also see the neighbouring farmer's cows, who occasionally pop their heads in.
The trail is mostly flat and has just been refurbished - just ask someone at the café or nearby for advice.
Admission to our woodland is free. If you'd like to explore our walled garden, usual NTS admission prices apply. Don't forget to bring along a pen or a pencil for your sheet.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
